Tickets can be purchased online in advance. There is limited space on each tour, and Saturdays and peak period days sell quickly and in some cases,  sell out. Therefore, it is recommended that you check tour availability and schedules in advance so you  can plan accordingly.

The tour includes an experienced, knowledge guide who will lead you through the area, and  provide history and background information on all areas visited, in an engaging, safe manner. Please note, gratuities are not included in the price of the tour. A standard gratuity for a tour guide in New York is between 18% - 25%.  If you enjoyed your tour, a gratuity is a great way to show your appreciation. 

Yes - We offer a 25% discount to past students.  If you are a past student, we periodically send discount information by email. If you have not received such an email, please reach out to us so we can provide you with a special voucher.

To ensure a very personalized experience, we max out at 20 guests. This way our guides can easily manage their groups and give every guest special attention.

Gift certificates and  gift cards are available for purchase, and unlike other gift cards, ours do not expire!

Tours depart rain or shine. Please bring an umbrella. In the rare instance that a tour would need to be canceled due to unsafe weather conditions, based on advisories from the NYC Mayor’s Office, ticket holders will be given an option to reschedule their tour, receive a gift card for a future tour, or get a full refund. In the event of inclement weather, where safety may be in question, please contact us at [email protected].

We need a minimum number of 4 people to run a tour. If we don’t reach that minimum number, we will contact you in advance and give you the option of rescheduling to a different time slot and/ or neighborhood. If this doesn’t work for you, you will have the choice of receiving a full refund or a gift card that never expires.

Full refund or reschedule is possible if you contact us 72 hours (3) before the tour.  

No refunds if canceled less than 72 hours before the tour starts.

All of our walking tours involve about a mile of walking. There are several stops along the way where one may sit and rest, if necessary, while listening to the guide.

Yes. The areas where we conduct tours are some of the oldest in New York City. Therefore, it is important to note that some streets are narrow, paved with cobblestones and in some cases, uneven. However, all of the sidewalks have curb cuts to accommodate wheels.

There are restrooms in the areas where we begin and end our tours. We do not incorporate restroom stops along the way. Therefore, it is recommended to use a restroom prior to the tour  start time.  Please note, restrooms located in eateries are designed for customer use. Therefore, you may be asked to purchase a beverage or snack in order to use their facilities.

Please wear comfortable sneakers or walking shoes.  Dress casually, comfortably, and appropriately for the season of your visit. Temperatures are variable in New York throughout the year. We suggest layering in all seasons to ensure your comfort.
